follow up to yichud

Question:

Rav Moshe said that if someone could ring the bill, and if you don’t open the door it will arouse suspicion, it is sufficient to break yichud, so that is what I relied on. In this situation he knows that I am there, and it would look suspicious if I don’t open the door. I specifically told him to feel free to come over, and he came twice during the day with no prior warning.

If the lady is a frei Yid, then probably she has to know about the friend, or it will be assur for her?

Answer:

True, but the question is if you are in a situation where it will not arouse suspicion if you come to the door two minutes later, would R’  Moshe’s heter help here. Personally I’m not sure.

If it is frie lady, and she isn’t going to listen to you, I don’t thikn you would have to say anything to her about this.

Best wishes
