Unfortunately, we can't go to shul before Pesach to hear the siyum? If I completed a meschecta on my own, will that suffice to avoid the taanis b'chor?
Answer:
In a situation like this year, when it is not possible to attend the siyum, it will suffice to hear it over the telephone.
